Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Upon your arrival in Beijing, our friendly guide welcomes you. Then the guide takes you to your comfortable hotel. You travel through bustling streets. Notice the lively feel of this historic city. At the hotel, you check in. Relax in your nice room. Get ready for future adventures. Spend the evening as you like. Maybe visit nearby places or try local food.

Day 2: Beijing Great Wall, Summer Palace Tour

After breakfast, visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. It’s one of the most beautiful and well-kept parts of this famous monument. Drive from Beijing. The drive is scenic. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the wall. See amazing views. Admire the architecture from the Ming Dynasty. You can hike on the old paths. Or take a cable car to go up more easily.

In the afternoon, enjoy the beauty of the Summer Palace. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gardens are beautiful, and it has great historical meaning. Walk through the peaceful landscapes. Look at the lovely pavilions. Learn about its long history. After a day full of exploring and learning about culture, go back to your hotel. Stay there for a restful night.

Day 3: Beijing Forbidden City, then train to Xi'an

In the morning, start exploring Beijing. Visit Tiananmen Square. It’s iconic. Appreciate its historical importance and grand architecture. Next, go to the Forbidden City. It was the imperial palace. Walk through its big courtyards. Admire the detailed designs.

After learning about these landmarks’ rich history, go to Beijing South Railway Station. You’ll travel to Xi’an. Board a comfortable bullet train. The 6-hour ride has nice views. When you get to Xi’an, our guide will wait for you. The guide will help you get to a cozy hotel. You can rest there.

Day 4: Xi'an Terracotta Warriors, City Wall Tour

Start your day. Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum(兵马俑博物馆). It’s a Silk Road highlight. Take a 1-hour scenic ride. Then, learn about these ancient sculptures. They’re from the Qin Dynasty. They were made to go with the first Emperor of China in the afterlife.

In the afternoon, explore the Ancient City Wall(古城墙). It’s one of China’s best-preserved city walls. You can walk or bike on its great ramparts. Next, go to the lively Muslim Quarter(回民街). It’s famous for yummy street food and rich culture. After a day full of exploring and finding new things, go back to your hotel in Xi’an. Have a good rest.

Day 5: Fly from Xi’an to Dunhuang, Echo Sand Mountain & Crescent Spring

You will start your adventure with an early morning flight to Dunhuang. We greet you upon your arrival and transfer you to hotel.

After settling in, the afternoon will take you to the stunning Echo Sand Mountain(鸣沙山) and Crescent Spring(月牙泉). Here, you can marvel at the unique phenomenon of the dunes that “sing” when the wind blows, creating a magical atmosphere. The picturesque Crescent Spring, nestled at the base of the dunes, offers a serene contrast to the surrounding desert landscape.

In the evening, immerse yourself in local culture by exploring the vibrant night market(沙洲夜市), where you can savor delicious regional snacks and shop for unique handicrafts.

Day 6: Dunhuang Mogao Caves, train to Turpan

In the morning, visit the Mogao Caves(莫高窟). It’s very famous along the Silk Road and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are lots of colorful frescoes and detailed statues. They tell stories about Buddha and Buddhist teachings. Explore the caves and learn about the art and culture exchanges here over many centuries.

After visiting the Mogao Caves, go to Liuyuan Railway Station. Take a 4-hour comfortable bullet train to Turpan. When you arrive, our guide will meet you. The guide will help you get to the hotel.

Day 7: Turpan Bezklik Grottoes, Jiaohe Ancient City, Tour

Today, explore Turpan’s rich history and culture. First, go to the Bezklik Grottos(柏孜克里克千佛洞). It’s a special complex of Buddhist caves. The caves have colorful frescoes from the 5th century. These frescoes show stories of Buddha and ancient art.

Next, visit the Jiaohe Ancient City(交河故城). It was a busy capital on the Silk Road. Walk through its ruins and think about its history. Then, explore the Gaochang ruins(高昌故城). It’s another important Silk Road city with unique buildings.

Finally, admire the Karez Irrigation System/Karez Wells(坎儿井). It’s an old engineering wonder. It shows how clever the region was at managing water. Also, don’t miss the Emin Minaret(苏公塔). It’s a beautiful example of Uyghur architecture.

Day 8: Turpan Xinjiang Regional Museum, Heavenly Lake, then to Urumqi

Today, start a 3-hour beautiful ride to Urumqi. It’s the lively capital of Xinjiang. When you arrive, visit the well-known Xinjiang Regional Museum(新疆维吾尔自治区博物馆). It’s closed on Monday. There are amazing old artifacts in it. They include the famous mummies like Loulan Beauty and Xiaohe Beauty. Their good condition helps us see the region’s past.

After that, go to Heavenly Lake(天池). It’s in the great Tianshan Mountains. Snow-covered peaks are around it. This calm, green-colored lake has great views. It’s great for a relaxing walk or a boat trip. After a day of exploring, relax and have a nice stay at a hotel in Urumqi.

Day 9: Fly from Urumqi to Kashgar | Idkar Mosque, Kashgar Old City

Today, take an early flight to Kashgar. It’s in the middle of the ancient Silk Road. When you get there, visit the famous Apa Hojia Tomb(香妃墓). It’s an amazing building with a lot of history and culture.

Next, go to the Idkar Mosque(艾提尕尔清真寺). It’s one of the biggest and most important mosques in the area. The Islamic architecture is really beautiful. Walk around Ancient City of Kashgar(喀什古城). The busy streets let you see the lively local life and Uyghur traditions.

After a day of exploring, relax in a nice hotel in Kashgar. Get ready for your next adventure.
